I just found out I won the LJWorld's overall artstar for the year. I really needed that scholarship money towards art supplies. I'll post the article on here when it comes out. I feel more balanced now, good coming with the bad and all.
This is probably one of my favorite poems I have written:
White curtains
cover white blinds surrounded by white window frames,
yellow morning light cascading in .
These are the days we will
reminisce,
thinking about now and what is to come.
For now we lay under rose colored sheets
illuminating our skin-
a giggle softly spoken
a top magic marker stains,
reminders of hazy nights
now unforgettable
noses near,
lips still
this will be the conscious time
to be remembered
